Q The relationship between the police and the community, and especially minority communities, seems to be a chronic problem. Why do you think that is the case? Many police departments have encountered difficulties in implementing Community oriented policing. Why do you think that has been so difficult to translate the rhetoric of community policing into reality? What are the main challenges? I think the reason why I believe that it is a problem to orient community policing is due to the community. Some community's believe the cops are here to protect and help the community become better. But in some cases you have a community that is against the police, which cause problem in community policing due to the matter of the fact that they don't want the police to be close to the community. The reason for that is because they don't want them to be involved in their lives they just want to go on with there life and don't need the help of the police.
